Packaging Engineer

Key Focus Areas:

• Define and ensure efficient packaging operations.
• Develop packaging solutions that meet the safety, movement, and storage requirements of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Optimize pallet quantity, pallet dimensions, and container quantity to minimize logistics costs while upholding quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers, planning, logistics, warehouse, production, quality, EHS, and R&D teams to drive packaging optimization projects, maintaining strong internal and external relationships to meet business targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage the packaging development of raw materials and finished goods.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, planning, logistics, warehouse, production, quality, EHS, and R&D, to deliver packaging solutions that sustain product quality and reduce costs.
• Identify opportunities for packaging improvements, focusing on quality enhancement, cost reduction, and environmental sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory guidelines for both domestic and international shipments.
• Provide packaging solutions for raw material repackaging at warehouses to facilitate storage in Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of packaging processes.
• Proven ability to inspire and lead teams, driving operational excellence and maximizing team potential.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with practical experience in navigating complex manufacturing scenarios.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and inclusivity.
