FMCG Projects & Technology Lead (9-10 yrs)

Executive Hiring is looking for a Sr. Talent in Project Engineering & Manufacturing Technology for an FMCG, based at Kolkata.

BE/BTech from IIT's / NIT's with 8-10 years of post-qualification exp. in an FMCG / Automotive space with strong knowledge of FMCG Manufacturing processes and equipment's.

This role will oversee and manage all technical aspects of processing and manufacturing lines. This includes overseeing manufacturing equipment related projects, implementing machine modifications, driving modernization and knowledge management / exchange, driving innovation and NPD related technological support and executing technology transfer related processes, with respect to manufacturing equipment across manufacturing facilities in India to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

- Lead and coordinate technical projects pertaining to manufacturing equipment across all factories (such as new equipment/line installation, modification, etc.)

- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans

- Establish and maintain long-term synergetic relationships with key OEMs

2. Equipment Optimization:

- Oversee machine modifications for quality improvements and SKU-related changes

3. Technical Innovation:

- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency

- Identify and evaluate relevant trends in manufacturing technology for implementation

- Develop and implement innovative solutions to technical challenges.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure all technical aspects meet required standards

- Develop and implement technical solutions to address quality issues

- Build on process knowledge and its application from a manufacturing technology and machines point of view

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, HR & Finance teams to align technical capabilities with business needs

- Provide technical expertise and support to other departments as needed

6. Team Leadership:

- Ensure knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across sites

- Guide development of technical specialists across all factory locations

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify areas for technical improvements and cost savings

- Lead initiatives to increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

8. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure all technical operations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.
