What you will be doing at Evalueserve :
As a GCP Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and executing data migration strategies from a cloud based data analytics platform to Google Cloud. Your expertise will ensure a seamless transition while optimizing performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop estimates and strategies for proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) using GCP best practices.
Technical Discovery :
- Conduct thorough technical discovery, identifying pain points, existing infrastructure, and future state scenarios.
- Evaluate the entire technology stack, including operations, administration, automation, and relevant cloud services.
Solution Design :
- Design cloud architectures for migrating on-premises data warehouses/marts from Azure to GCP.
- Prioritize use cases related to data migration, considering scalability, reliability, and performance.
Implementation and Troubleshooting :
- Assist in the migration process, ensuring smooth transitions and resolving any issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data migration workflows.
Disaster Recovery and Security :
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with security standards during migration.
Have good working Experience on different cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP with strong exposure and experience in GCP :
- Understands the Cloud Assessment methodology & Cloud Migration Framework, tools
- Good assessment & analysis skills to be able to map the collected cloud attributes to the decision tree rules for cloud suitability, cloud migration patterns etc
- Be able to define a target landing platform architecture & design
- Be able to independently assess different cloud attributes and determine the relevant target state for migration
- Very good knowledge of the cloud migration patterns like Re-host, Re-platform, Re-factor and be able to apply the relevant pattern based on client responses to cloud questionnaires
- Explain & effectively communicate the target state, architecture & topology on GCP cloud to client stakeholders
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, GKE)
- Strong experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions, JFrog)
- Deep experience in at least one of these - infrastructure architecture, web application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture and excellent understanding in other cloud native solutions
- Good understanding of the networking aspects on cloud, defining network security groups, policies, configuring load balancers, application gateways
What we're looking for :
- Expert in Google cloud CI/CD Cloud transformation and migration, Cloud security, Machine learning and artificial intelligence.
- Experience working on large scale cloud deployments in the GCP space as well as being the SME for all architectural issues.
- The Cloud architect will be comfortable working in a consulting capacity and dealing with stakeholders of all levels
- Google Cloud technical certification, such as Professional Cloud Developer or Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of cloud services offered by Azure/AWS/GCP, specifically the infrastructure, security, IAM and application orchestration services along with managed services for building SaaS/ PaaS applications
- Cloud migration and cloud consulting experience required with primary on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with MS Azure and AWS as secondary
- Knowledge in multi and hybrid cloud design and maintenance
- Scripting and automation skills : YAML, Ansible, Terraform, and Python
- Network, Infrastructure and Security certifications on GCP (specifically Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), GCP Professional Cloud Kubernetes Engine Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Kubernetes Engine Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Anthos Architect)
- Competent in people leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
