Job Description: Academic Counsellor

Location: MIT University, Kothrud, Pune

Work Timing: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordination with Parents and Students: Act as the primary point of contact for both parents and students, addressing inquiries, and providing information on courses and admissions.
• Handling Inquiries: Answer questions and resolve concerns related to course offerings, college structure, admission procedures, and more.
• Provide Course Information: Provide accurate details about various courses, their benefits, eligibility, and career prospects.
• Counselling and Guidance: Advertise and counsel students and parents about the colleges academic programs, helping them make informed decisions regarding admissions.
• Follow-Up and Documentation: Maintain records of student and parent interactions and follow up regularly to ensure timely processing of applications.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent Communication Skills in English: Proficient in verbal and written English communication with the ability to clearly explain course structures, admission processes, and other relevant details.
• Counselling Skills: Ability to counsel students and parents effectively, offering solutions tailored to their academic and career goals.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for managing data and documentation.
• Own Laptop: Candidates must have their own laptop to manage communication and documentation.

Education Criteria:

• Minimum Qualification: Any Graduate (Preference will be given to candidates from a non-technical background).

Preferred Candidates:

• Individuals with a passion for education and helping students make important academic decisions.

Note: Candidates must have their own laptop also the training will be provided.
