Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on elevators and escalators. The role demands adherence to safety standards, effective communication with clients, and prompt resolution of service issues to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Work Locations: Mumbai, Surat & Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repair

1. Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure elevators and escalators operate efficiently and safely.
2. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of elevators.
3. Replace faulty or worn-out components, including motors, brakes, cables, and switches.
4. Conduct minor and major repairs on-site and escalate significant issues to senior technicians or engineers when required.

Safety Compliance

1. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, such as IS 14665 and other local elevator safety norms.
2. Conduct routine safety checks and prepare detailed inspection reports.

Customer Service

1. Respond promptly to service calls and customer complaints regarding elevator breakdowns.
2. Communicate effectively with clients to explain the work completed and any additional maintenance recommendations.

Documentation

1. Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, service reports, and part replacements.
2. Prepare job sheets and update the company database with service activities.

Team Collaboration

1. Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and the customer support team for smooth service operations.
2. Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated with industry advancements and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Educational Background:
  
• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in Electrician, or a related field.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in elevator or escalator maintenance.
• Skills:
  
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficient in understanding electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts.
• Familiarity with elevator maintenance is a must.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications:
  
• Certification in elevator maintenance or similar technical training is an advantage.
• Physical Requirements:
  
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Physically fit to handle moderate lifting and other physical tasks.
