Responsibilities ETL Development: Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Ab Initio, including graph development, data transformation, and performance tuning.
SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) into the data warehouse or other target systems.
Performance Tuning: Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability.
Testing & Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging of ETL processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy and maintain ETL processes in a production environment.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, including design specifications, data mappings, and runbooks.
Unix Scripting: Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automating tasks related to ETL processes.
Data Modeling: Collaborate with data modelers to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient ETL processes.
Metadata Management: (If experience present) Contribute to metadata management efforts, utilizing a metadata hub to capture and manage metadata related to data integration processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with other data engineers, developers, and business analysts to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.Ab Initio, SQL, GDE Unix
