QA Automation Engineer

About The Role

To design, implement, and execute testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, the candidate will be instrumental in driving our software quality assurance lifecycle, collaborating with development teams to establish test strategies, and developing automated tests to uphold our stringent quality benchmarks, thereby reducing manual regression efforts.

By integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline, the candidate will ensure that software releases are reliable and of high quality. Additionally, the candidate will troubleshoot and diagnose issues in systems under test, contributing to the continuous improvement of the software development process.

What Describes You Best

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2 to 3 years experience in Automation Testing.
Experience of working on SAAS /enterprise products is preferred.
Technical Skills: (must have)

Sound understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology
Hands-on experience with test Automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver (with Java), Cucumber, Appium, or TestNG
Proven experience in test automation using Java scripting language
Strong Understanding of DOM
Good experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Hands-on experience with any of the bug tracking and test management tools (e.g. GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, Bugzilla, etc.)
Experience with API testing (Postman or Similar RESTClient)
Additional Skills: (nice to have)

Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter
Knowledge of Serenity BDD Framework
Knowledge of Python programming language
What will you Own

The key accountability of the candidate will be to maintain and enhance the QA automation process (along with CI/CD/CT), create/update test suites, write documentation, and ensure quality delivery of our software components by automation testing and also contribute to manual testing when required. Furthermore, enhance the product by utilizing automation scripting in solution development and improving processes/workflows.

QA and Documentation

Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
Enhancing, Optimizing, and maintaining automated CI/CD/CT workflows.
Write, design, execute, and maintain automation scripts for web and mobile platforms.
Maximizing test coverage for the most critical features of the application to reduce manual testing effort and quick regression.
Reviewing software bug reports, maintaining reporting of automation test suites, and highlighting problem areas.
Manage and Troubleshooting issues in systems under test.
Establishing and coordinating test strategies with development/product teams.
Manage documentation repositories and version control systems.
Post-delivery participation - Training and User Feedback

Participating in user feedback sessions to identify and understand user persona and requirements.
Working closely with the support team in providing necessary product technical support.
