JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing virtual desktop environments to ensure a seamless user experience. You will work closely with IT, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of VDI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot VDI environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage virtual desktop pools, provisioning, and resource allocation to meet user requirements.
• Perform regular updates, patching, and upgrades of VDI components.
• Configure and maintain user profiles, applications, and policies within the VDI framework.
• Integrate VDI systems with Active Directory, group policies, and other enterprise systems.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect virtual desktop environments against threats.
• Provide end-user support and resolve technical issues related to VDI access, performance, and application delivery.
• Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of VDI configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align VDI infrastructure with business needs and goals.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for remote access tools such as Splashtop, TeamViewer, and AnyDesk.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a VDI Administrator or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with VDI platforms such as Citrix, Nutanix, Softdrive.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, group policy management, and user authentication protocols.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including VPN, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance standards.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Citrix.
• Experience in Support role handling international clients.
• Knowledge of storage systems and backup solutions related to VDI environments.
• Exposure to cloud-based VDI solutions and hybrid infrastructures.
• Advanced troubleshooting knowledge and experience with remote support tools (Splashtop, TeamViewer, AnyDesk).
