Gem Professional / Gem Portal Specialist- Lucknow

Key Responsibilities:

1. GeM Portal Management:
• Register and maintain the companys profile on the GeM portal as a seller/service provider.
• Ensure all company details, products, and services are accurately listed and updated on the portal.
• Manage product cataloguing, pricing, and categorization on the GeM portal.
2. Tender Participation:
• Monitor and identify relevant tenders on the GeM portal.
• Prepare and submit bids, quotations, and proposals in compliance with GeM guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams (technical, legal, and finance) to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
3. Order Processing and Fulfilment:
• Manage order processing, including acknowledgment, invoicing, and delivery on the GeM portal.
• Ensure imely delivery of goods/services as per GeM contract terms.
• Resolve any issues related to order fulfilment or payment delays.
4. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with GeM portal rules, regulations, and government procurement policies.
• Maintain proper documentation for all GeM-related activities, including contracts, invoices, and delivery challans.
• Stay updated with changes in GeM policies and guidelines.
5. Vendor and Buyer Coordination:
• Liaise with government buyers and departments for tender clarifications, negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with GeM support teams for issue resolution.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate regular reports on GeM portal activities, including tender participation, order status, and revenue.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities on the GeM portal.
7. Training and Support:
• Train nternal teams on GeM portal processes and best practices.
• Provide support to other departments for GeM-related queries and activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Educational Background:
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce, IT, or a related field.
• Certification in GeM portal operations or e-procurement is a plus.
2. Experience:
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in managing GeM portal activities or government e-tendering systems.
• Prior experience in an IT company or government contracting environment is preferred.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in using the GeM portal and other e-procurement platforms.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and digital payment processes.
4. Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
