Qualification:

A high caliber engineering/science graduate with or without PG.

Responsibilities:

• Forecast monthly production based on orders on hand and priorities - prepare monthly plan.
• Based on production plan, prepare raw material plan and feed the requirement to purchase.
• Prepare monthly and daily dispatch plan.
• Plan man and machine requirements.
• Ensure effective allocation of production tasks and machine plan on daily basis in line with monthly plan.
• Ensure that planned targets for production and dispatch are met.
• Ensure that while manufacturing process specified requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure adequate identification and test status, and control over non-conforming.

• Keep a track of wastage, rework and rejection and ensure reduction in same.
• Ensure that departmental procedural requirements and guidelines are adhered to while manufacture of products.
• Ensure that production and related equipment's and accessories are kept in order.

• Determine competence requirements for subordinates.

Authority:

Fully authorized to take all decisions on the planning activities for the month in terms of selection of m/c, man power management, requirements of raw material and also authorized for change management.

• Authorized to approve rework and reject of the products in agreement with the Manager QC.
• Fully authorized to take all decisions in favour of implementing safety solutions, healthy work environment, waste management and disposal, reduction in accident / incident.

Accountability:

Alignment of customer required schedule to monthly production/ delivery plan.

• Lapse in alignment of material requisition with respect to monthly production plan.
• Achievement of planned production/ dispatch
• Address resource requirements related to manufacture.
• Address resource requirements related to monitoring and measurement while manufacture.
• Effective allocation of resources and productivity.
• Conformity to product requirements at in process and final stage.
• Rework and rejection at in process and final stage.
• Timely implementation of correction/ corrective & preventive actions when required.
• Adherence to documented requirements of relevant procedures/ work instructions/ reference documents.
