Cloud Systems Engineer

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operating system layers, file systems, and public cloud infrastructures, specifically with Ubuntu and RHEL. This role requires extensive experience in cloud-init file usage and image deployments on various platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain and deploy Ubuntu and RHEL-based virtual machines on public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Implement and manage various types of virtualization technologies to optimize system performance and reliability
• Develop, maintain, and execute shell scripts (Bash), Python, and Go lang to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and enhance system efficiencies
• Design and configure storage solutions and understand file system usage tailored for public cloud VMs and microservice architectures
• Manage network configurations, including DNS resolvers, NTP settings, and routing tables for optimal system integration and performance
• Monitor cloud system deployments, performance metrics, and troubleshoot any issues that arise in real-time
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT team members to refine system architecture, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Provide expert technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff, including creating and maintaining detailed system documentation and processes
