Job Summary :

- We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in managing projects within the utility's domain.

- This role will require a deep understanding of utility operations, strong technical IT skills, and proven project management abilities.

- The candidate should be willing to actively support with Business Development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage large, complex utility-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring the successful execution of all project stages.

- Leverage technical skills to oversee the integration of IT systems and solutions within utility operations, ensuring that all technological requirements are met.

- Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risks throughout the lifecycle of the project.

- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and project success.

- Proactively manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies and understand the principles of risk management.

- Establish project performance metrics and KPIs, tracking project progress, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensure that all projects adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices, particularly in the utilities domain.

- Produce Impact Assessment Documents/Proposal Documents by working with the solution architect, customer representatives, contractors, team members to derive towards the most cost-effective proposal.

- Managing project team based both onsite and offshore including third parties.

Must Have :

- 10+ years of experience in project management, primarily within the utilities sector, with a proven track record of managing large and complex projects.

- Project risk and change management.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering from reputed university.

- ITIL Foundation will be added advantage.

Nice to have :

- Utility knowledge: Knowledge of the utilities market and widely used applications such as SAP would be a definite advantage.

- Development: Ability to lead a development.

- Exposure to Scrum and SAFe approaches would be an advantage.

- Strong experience with IT integration and technical solutions in the utilities domain.

- In-depth experience working with utility management systems, smart grid technologies, SCADA, or other utility software solutions.

- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance in the utilities industry.

Skills :

- Must Have Technical Project Manager - Person with Technical Background (SAP/NON-SAP) who have transitioned into Project Management.

- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

- Strong understanding of utility operations, including energy, water, or gas distribution.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g , MS Project, Jira,.Primavera)/Artefacts/Accelerators.

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to guide technical team for components within the financial scope.

- Solid leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

Certifications :

- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.

- IT-related certifications (e.g, ITIL, Agile, Scrum) would be an advantage.
