SAP ABAP Consultant

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs. The ideal candidate should have expertise in RICEF, Object-Oriented ABAP, and performance-optimized coding practices, along with experience in modern SAP technologies such as CDS Views, AMDP, and FIORI applications.

Key Responsibilities:

ABAP Development & Customization:

• Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).
• Implement Object-Oriented ABAP and follow performance-optimized coding practices.
• Work with CDS Views and AMDP for efficient data modeling and retrieval.
• Develop ALV reports, SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.

Enhancements & Integration:

• Implement enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Customer Exits.
• Develop and test interfaces between SAP and external systems using IDOCs, RFCs, and BAPIs.

SAP FIORI & RAP (Good to Have):

• Exposure to Building RAP (RESTful Application Programming) and FIORI element applications.

Troubleshooting & Testing:

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving ABAP-related issues in SAP systems.
• Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Documentation & Code Quality:

• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, test cases, and end-user documentation.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews and adherence to SAP best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• Strong ABAP programming skills with expertise in RICEF components.
• Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP and performance optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience in CDS Views and AMDP.
• Strong knowledge of IDOCs, RFCs, and BAPIs for SAP integration.

Desirable (Good to Have):

• Experience in RAP and FIORI element applications.
• Strong understanding of SAP Enhancement Framework (BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits).
