Network Engineer - Routing & Switching (5-8 yrs)

We are seeking a motivated and talented Network Engineer with a solid foundation in routing, switching and security to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking principles and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies. This role involves maintaining and supporting our existing network infrastructure, as well as participating in projects to implement new technologies and improve network performance.

Responsibilities :

Network Maintenance & Support :

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.

- Maintain network devices, including routers, switches and firewalls

- Configure and deploy network equipment.

- Implement and maintain network security measures.

- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.

Project Implementation :

- Collaborate with other IT team members on infrastructure projects.

Other :

- Provide technical support to end-users.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest networking trends and technologies.

- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience : 5 years of experience in network engineering.

- Certifications : CCNA Routing, Switching certification is required.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewall (ASA).

- Experience with network monitoring tools.

- Knowledge of network security best practices.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

Good to Have :

- Basic knowledge of cloud networking (AWS).
