Income Tax Auditor

Role & Responsibilities:

• Income Tax Audit Procedures:
• Conduct and manage income tax audits for individuals, firms, and companies, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Review and analyze financial records, tax returns, and documents to ensure proper reporting and minimize the risk of penalties or audits.
• Assist clients with tax-related questions and guide them through the preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and other required documentation.
• Team Management & Leadership:
• Supervise and lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure the successful execution of tax audits and tax filing.
• Organize team tasks, set deadlines, and track the progress of ongoing audits, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and on time.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, encouraging continuous learning and development within the team.
• Client Communication & Relationship Management:
• Effectively communicate with clients to understand their tax needs, resolve queries, and keep them updated on audit progress and changes in tax laws.
• Establish and maintain long-term professional relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
• Coordinate and manage client meetings, presenting clear and concise findings, and offering strategic advice to optimize tax positions.
• Proficiency in Software & Documentation:
• Proficiently use Excel, Word, and accounting software to prepare, analyze, and file tax documents and audit reports.
• Generate financial reports, assist with bookkeeping tasks, and ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax-related software tools and systems to streamline the auditing process.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification preferred, but not mandatory.
