DevOps Engineer - IT Infrastructure Automation (2-6 yrs)

Introduction :

We are seeking a skilled and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a key member of our engineering department, you will help bridge the gap between software development and IT operations by automating, streamlining, and optimizing the development lifecycle, infrastructure, and deployment processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, infrastructure management, and CI/CD pipeline automation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Infrastructure Automation : Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support development and production workloads.

- CI/CD Pipelines : Build, optimize, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the delivery of software applications across environments.

- System Monitoring & Alerts : Set up and maintain monitoring tools (e.g, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.

- Collaboration : Work closely with software engineers, QA, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of development, testing, and deployment processes.

- Version Control & Configuration Management : Manage version control tools (e.g, Git) and configuration management tools (e.g, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to ensure consistency across environments.

- Incident Management : Identify and resolve system performance issues, bugs, and outages, and ensure minimal downtime in production systems.

- Security Best Practices : Implement security practices to protect systems, data, and infrastructure, including identity management, network security, and compliance.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on infrastructure, processes, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

- Innovation : Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, and propose new tools or processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience (2+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role.

- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g, Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI.

- Solid experience with containerization technologies (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.

- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g, Bash, Python, Ruby) for automation tasks.

- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g, Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana).

- Knowledge of security principles and practices for cloud and on-prem systems.

- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with microservices architectures.

- Familiarity with databases (e.g, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and database management in cloud environments.

- Experience with infrastructure and application performance tuning.

- Cloud certifications (e.g, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
