Responsibilities:
- Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of screw compressors, ammonia line motors, valves, and controls to ensure optimal performance
- Refrigeration Systems Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) systems, blast freezers, plate freezers, tube ice plants, and flake ice plants
- Water Treatment Systems: Manage and maintain RO (Reverse Osmosis) plants and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plants) to ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Conveyor Systems: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of conveyor systems within the processing facility
- Automation Systems: Work with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to monitor and control industrial processes
- Cold Storage Management: Maintain and service cold storage units, including both Freon and ammonia-based systems, to ensure the integrity of stored products
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history
- Emergency Response: Address maintenance-related emergencies promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Technology Updates: Stay updated with the latest advancements in refrigeration and electrical maintenance technology and recommend improvements
General Expectations of Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of screw compressors, ammonia line motors, valves, controls, IQF, blast freezers, plate freezers, tube ice plants, flake ice plants, RO plants, ETP plants, conveyors, SCADA PLC, and cold storage systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with ERP systems and maintenance management software
- Relevant certifications in refrigeration, electrical maintenance, or industrial safety are highly desirable
