Site Automation / Support Engineer at JSW Steel Bellary, Karnataka

Job Roles & Responsibility

• Supervision of Installation & Erection of eMeasurematics equipment on Cranes, Transfer Cars, Yard

Facilities, etc.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing preventive maintenance schedules

with the customer.

• Inspection of assembled equipment to assure proper Installation and functioning of devices.
• Carrying out quality inspections
• Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
• Troubleshooting of equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Interact and update project managers during field Installations, troubleshooting.
• Must act as a single point contact for all customer needs for designated customers with experience
• Timely and professionally handle service calls and issues arising from field service visits.
• Build, Develop & Sustain Customer relationships with effective Customer management
• Create and maintain service reports/Information in company database
• Plan and efficiently organize the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for

purpose.

• Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the erection, installation and commissioning

of eM supplied equipment.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all measurement sheets etc. related to projects to

enable traceability.

• Regular Liaising and interaction with JSW for document handling received from eM, distribution to JSW

personnel collecting comments etc.

• Coordinating jobs related to gate-pass, safety training (if required), site clearance for erection activities

etc.

• Invoice and other related paper handling for clearance till it is received by accounts. Follow-up with

accounts & others for bill clearance.

Erection supervision

• Taking the ownership of all erection work and related safety aspect as per site availability and site

clearance.

• Managing all erection related material, procurement of erection material (if required) , managing logistic.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and

procedures, complying with legal regulations as per JSW.

• Mobilization of machineries, tools, tackles & other materials for erection.
• Receive of material - dispatched from outside suppliers at plant gate, coordinates activities of workers

engaged in lifting, transporting at JSW designated place, handling all relevant documents from transporter

required for clearances of material receive from JSW.

• Inspection of material by JSW as per incoming material inspection procedure of JSW, completion of

formalities for receiving inspection certificate and receiving of material for erection.

• Ensures that the JSW standard practices, records and procedures to be followed strictly for getting

invoices cleared.

• Storing of the material at safe custody.
• Co-ordinate material movement at erection location.
• May supervise activities of shipping and receiving personnel.

Commissioning & Post commissioning Support

• Interacting with operational group for smooth operation (eM will impart comprehensive training for

handling all equipment).

• Basic identification of equipment healthiness/problem and coordinating with eM officers to resolve the

problem.

• Interaction with JSW personnel to identify any operational issues, making comprehensive not for same

and reporting to eM for further action/modification.
