Electrical Draughtsman

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Draughtsman with a strong background in preparing detailed drawings and layouts for HVAC, BMS, and Fire Protection Systems. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional drafting skills, technical expertise, and a solid understanding of engineering principles related to building services.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design:

• Create detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics for HVAC, BMS, and Fire Systems using AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Typical installation detail & section drawings.

Coordination:

• Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant drawings.
• Integrate HVAC, BMS, and Fire Protection Systems with other building services (electrical, plumbing, etc.).

Standards and Compliance:

• Ensure all designs meet industry standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IS codes) and local regulations.
• Maintain accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

Documentation and Revision:

• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or site conditions.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and versions for reference.

Software Usage:

• Utilize advanced CAD tools and software for creating and editing designs.
• Implement 3D modeling tools (e.g., Revit MEP) when required for complex projects.

Site Support:

• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases by interpreting drawings.
• Modify as-built drawings based on site modifications.

• Educational Background: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualifications.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in drafting HVAC, BMS, and Fire Systems.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other drafting tools.
• Knowledge of electrical layouts, cable routing, and control panel designs.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of building services coordination.
• Familiarity with standards like NFPA (for fire systems) and ASHRAE (for HVAC systems).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings.
