Cloud Architect

ElixiCloud is seeking someone who demonstrates Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development Cloud Infrastructures running in 24x7 environments. Cloud related Professional and Consulting services to accounts and clients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, engineer & architect clients cloud environments – Private, public (Azure, AWS, GCP) & Hybrid clouds
• Delivery of customer Cloud Strategies, aligned with customer’s business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations.
• Provide expertise in the definition, design, implementation, adoption and adherence to enterprise architecture strategies, processes and standards.
• Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud including implementation of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud within in large regulated enterprise environments.
• Nurture Cloud computing expertise internally and externally to drive Cloud Adoption and Information Security.
• Deliver a complete end-to-end architecture across all architecture domains for large internal / external customer initiatives.
• Ability to hire, mentor and support other team members as necessary.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Azure, AWS or Google Cloud based Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience working on VMWare, Hyper-V and building enterprise private clouds.
• Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
• 8+ years of IT experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Cloud Consultant.
• Understands and can articulate the technical merits and value of Cloud computing.
• Strong Linux skills
• Very deep knowledge on supporting enterprise infrastructures in an agile DevOps environment with a working knowledge of IAM, software defined networking, storage and platform as a service components (Pivotal, Openshift)

GOOD TO HAVE

• 4+ years' experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect, with focus on cloud, server, storage and networking.
• Experience with Public Cloud Infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP etc.) automation
• Experience with Windows and Active Directory
• Experience in Public IaaS and OpenStack infrastructure environments running SAP solutions and Database knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience in leading a team applying all elements of Technical Consulting.
• Passionate, persuasive, articulate Cloud professional capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to design, deploy and operate cloud based Architectures. Strong written, verbal and chalk board skills
• Experience in enterprise applications, solutions and data center infrastructures.
• Relevant Industry certifications such on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
