Role & responsibilities

Key Purpose of the Job:

'The Product Dy. Marketing Manager is responsible for monitoring lifecycle of existing products to develop new products for assigned product line. The role holder will create formal business cases and product descriptions and acts as a facilitator between various internal teams to ensure product policy and processes are negotiated, documented and executed accurately. The role holder is additionally responsible for supporting and coordinating product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, preparing business case, proposals for new product / technology development based on market requirements, insights and intelligence.
• Study, analyze inputs / feedback from market including Voice of Customer (VOC), competitor products, latest technology to determine optimum ATS ELGI offering.
• Identify potential customer segments, key business drivers, buying patterns, other relevant parameters / metrics to determine customer requirements in products.
• Prepare, prioritize new product concepts analyzing feasibility, competitive pressure, market trends, ROI, market demand / potential, product longevity and product risks
• Work with stakeholders to collate market information from various stakeholders including Sales, dealerships and customers, on products, requirements, user experience and others, as relevant.
• Facilitate discussions on concept / proposals for new product across levels in the organization; give clear inputs / updates to senior management on proposed / on-going projects.
• Study, analyze market trends, future demand and prepare product roadmap for new products and present to various stakeholders.
• Provide inputs to R&D on new product development (for example, features, specifications, technology, benefits, etc).
• Coordinate for preparing sales collateral, launch kits for new product (for example, Marketing Bulletin, product manual, product catalogue, etc)
• Develop and plan road map for launch / relaunch of new products / range / variants / technology platform.
• Responsible for product lifecycle management for existing and new products.
• Identify current stage of assigned products in product life cycle and plan strategies accordingly (for example, repositioning, add new features, etc).
• Evaluate assigned products against performance based on parameters such as price performance, customer demand, ROI, etc
• Plan and ensure margin realization for products through pricing strategies, cost optimization and evaluation of product reach in market.
• Determine and establish product positioning for assigned product line / range including Unique Selling Proposition (USP) product tag lines, highlighting key features and benefits
• Develop brand building initiatives and marketing strategy to ensure appropriate branding / marketing for assigned product line.

Educational Qualification / Experience required:

• Graduate degree in Engineering.
• Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Engineering.
• Experience of 8 to 12 years in product management, preferably in the engineering goods, cleaning industry, or washing equipment sector.
• Experience in handling team
• Should possess technical knowledge of Automotive Products and the industry.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
• Should demonstrate project planning skills and ability to prioritize projects.
