Job Description

The Elemica Global Customer Support Team is looking for an energetic results-oriented individual who is self-motivated with experience in, or exposure to, Logistics and Supply Chain methodologies. This role will provide technical support for Elemica s logistics, order management, procurement, and supply chain business applications. This includes not only reactive support to customer issues, but also proactive engagement to improve the functional and technical performance and reliability of these applications. The candidate must be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
The Support Engineer is a critical role supporting and developing Elemicas hosted and on-premise solutions. The role participates as cross functional member of the GCS Support Team, working with external clients and internal Elemica teams to identify, troubleshoot and escalate client issues and requests as well as drive improvements to Elemica solutions and environmental issues. The goal is to ensure business continuity of our clients supply chain and to improve system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
  • Advanced troubleshooting and resolution, root cause analysis, defect reproduction with recommendation to fix defects and develop minor enhancements.
  • Extensive analysis of customer issues, providing work-around solutions wherever possible.
  • Clear and timely communication on ticket status to clients. Consistently meet response and resolution SLAs. Project one Elemica view to customers.
  • Research and report software bugs to the development and product management teams.
  • Work with modern tooling (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse / IntelliJ, Maven, Git, SBT, etc.)
  • Document and optimize processes, procedures, and solutions to ensure quick and efficient identification and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Mentor team members when necessary.
Experience and Skills Required
  • 6 to 8 years of work experience in Support Model(L2/L3)
  • Working knowledge of supporting a distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications which include
  • understanding the functional needs of the application
  • good knowledge of ASP.Net, MVC, C#, VB.Net, API, Web services, XML, SQL Database, messaging services, and middleware
  • good understanding of SDLC
  • good understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective Collaboration with internal teams including AD, PS, SRE, Other Departments.
  • Effective Customer Communication on the functional discussions.
  • Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when addressing customer concerns.
  • Follow up with customer to ensure that issues are fully resolved, and satisfaction is achieved.
  • Ability to analyze business and functional problems.
  • Flexible, adaptable, able to work independently and must have the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have skills:
  • Exposure or experience with Supply Chain, Logistics business processes and systems
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns, and DotNet coding principles
  • Interacting directly with external clients on support tickets.
  • Knowledge of hardware and networking infrastructure necessary to support web applications.
  • Software development experience is highly desirable.
Education and Certification:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
