Sales Trainer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Sales Trainer with 5+ years of experience in developing and delivering training programs that enhance the sales skills and performance of our sales teams. This role is pivotal in equipping the sales force with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, particularly within the NBFC, BFSI, and MSME sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sales processes, including inbound sales, B2B/B2C strategies, and industry-specific funding schemes.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customized sales training programs that focus on key sales skills such as lead generation, negotiation, closing deals, customer relationship management, and product knowledge. Create a blend of Offline/Online training sessions to cater to the teams learning needs.
• Focus on improving critical sales skills, especially in the areas of inbound sales, consultative selling, and sales conversions. Emphasize industry-specific techniques, including handling MSME-related queries, promoting MSME funding options, and navigating government/private lending schemes.
• Ensure the sales team has in-depth knowledge of NBFC products, BFSI financial offerings, and MSME financing options such as MUDRA, CGTMSE, and Stand-Up India. Teach the sales team how to approach prospects with a strong understanding of these funding schemes and business certifications like Udyam Registration, GST, and ISO.
• Analyze the performance of the sales team before and after training, identifying specific areas where skills need to be enhanced.
• Facilitate the onboarding of new sales team members by providing them with structured training on product offerings, sales tools, and processes.
• Collaborate with sales managers and leadership to ensure training is aligned with the organizations sales processes, suggest improvements in sales techniques based on team feedback and performance metrics.
• Work closely with Sales Managers, VPs, and Executives to develop training content that directly supports the teams performance and organizational objectives.
• Regularly assess training effectiveness through KPIs and other performance metrics.
• Provide ongoing mentorship to the sales team, offering tailored coaching sessions that address specific challenges faced by individuals.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales training, particularly within the NBFC, BFSI, or MSME sectors.
• Hands-on experience in creating and delivering B2B and B2C sales training programs.
• Strong understanding of the MSME ecosystem, including government funding schemes (e.g., MUDRA, CGTMSE, SIDBI) and relevant business certifications.
• Knowledge of BFSI products and services, including working capital loans, invoice discounting, asset-based lending, and supply chain finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex sales concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship to salespeople at various stages of their career.
• Proficient in measuring training success using KPIs, sales conversion rates, and team performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales training platforms, and learning management systems (LMS).
• Relevant certifications in sales training, BFSI, or MSME management are a plus.
