We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated legal professional with 6 8 years of experience to join our legal team as Counsel, Procurement. The successful candidate will lead, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of vendor agreements, including software, marketing, HR, and other procurement-related contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate with expertise in drafting and negotiating vendor agreements and a passion for ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in procurement activities
What you will do:
Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of diverse procurement contracts (global), including agreements with software vendors, marketing agencies, HR service providers, consultancy, subcontractors, and other suppliers.
Legal Compliance and Edifecs Policies : Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate legal and business risks in vendor contracts, including data security, liability, and confidentiality terms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with internal teams, including procurement, IT, HR, and marketing, to understand business needs and align contractual terms accordingly.
Vendor Relationship Management : Serve as a key point of contact for vendor-related legal issues and provide strategic advice during the procurement process.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement templates, playbooks, and best practices to streamline contract management processes.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
What you will bring
Education: Bachelors degree in Law ( LL.B or equivalent); additional certifications in contract law or procurement are a plus.
Experience: 6-8 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing procurement contracts, with exposure to a variety of vendor agreements (software, marketing, HR, etc.).
Expertise: Strong knowledge of legal principles related to vendor contracts, including intellectual property, indemnity, and confidentiality. Familiarity with data protection regulations and cybersecurity requirements in vendor agreements.
Skills: Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must have knowledge of general computer use, MS Excel, MS Word, and other Software tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
