Production support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and ensure the smooth functioning of our production systems. The ideal candidate should have expertise in XML, SOAP/REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and JSON, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure high system availability.
• Investigate and debug issues related to XML, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Work closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application support.
• Analyze logs and system performance to proactively identify potential risks.
• Support deployment processes and configuration changes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including issue resolution steps and best practices.
• Respond to incidents and service requests promptly while adhering to SLAs.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of XML and JSON data formats.
• Hands-on experience with SOAP and REST APIs, including API testing and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including writing queries and analyzing database performance.
• Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis for debugging production issues.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Shell, or SQL) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and problem management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in production support for web applications or enterprise software.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
• Exposure to message queues and caching mechanisms is an advantage.
