Technical Services Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for product development and analysis of automotive & industrial lubricants including all types of base oils & additives.
• Meticulously handle the analysis of Engine Oil, Gear Oil, Hydraulic oil, and all types of petroleum products.
• Prepare chemical solutions and standards according to standard formulas. Add chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or products batches to correct or establish formulation required to meet specifications
• Credited for implementing ISO in various departments and maintaining its documentations.
• Perform laboratory experiments fully support to Product development in Petroleum products i.e. automotive lubricants and Industrial lubricants.
• Analysis of TSD/PQC/CMS sample received from Technical Service Department.
• Initiate the turnaround efforts to have a detailed competitor product analysis.
• Ensuring that the production is cost effective.
• To provide the technical support to marketing team by way of training, preparing literature like product data sheet, material safety data sheet and monitoring & troubleshooting charts.
• Perform laboratory experiments fully support to Product development in Petroleum products i.e. automotive lubricants and Industrial lubricants.
• Working out the human and material resources needed.
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed by co staff or workers.
• Establishes the work procedures to meet production schedule.
• Preparation of approval samples as per OEM requirements and taking care of complete process from approaching to OEM to getting final product approval
• Development of alternate formulations for the existing product
• Generation of data base on raw material. Analysing and generating market data from existing competitors to bench market our products Designing and formulating new products and alternate formulations for all existing products with better performance related properties and cost-efficiency, by applying testing methods by either following ASTM/ BIS / DIN / ISO / IP specifications or as specified by end users.
• Formulation of products and generated data base as desired by global OEMs and our global teams
• Formulating our product and generating report for conducting field-trials for different customers and improve upon the product if required by analysing our field trials data generated as well re formulating oils customer requirements.
• Delivering the presentations to management or the end user as per the requirement
• Maintaining R & D stock of raw materials and spares for instruments

Technology Support

• Research and Development lead for industrial lubricants technology, enabling product development and through back integration of research activities with Additive suppliers.
• Work with Sales Team to maximize our Price/ Gross Margin of new and existing products
• Technically support the sales team requests and new product initiatives

Customer Support:

• Act as a Technology Expert for major clients into Automotive and Manufacturing OEMS for industrial process fluids
• Assist Sales Team using Technical Expertise to improve customer process

New Product Development

• Product Modification or development of a new product, providing assessment report to Management and presenting it to Technical Team for development
• Performing the Design of Experiments for formulating New and cost cutting products
• Performing testing for incoming raw materials and finished products, estimating cost of raw materials and finished product as and after project is completed as desired
