Overview:

As the Centre Head, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our preschool and day care centre, ensuring a warm, nurturing, and dynamic environment for children, staff, and families alike. You’ll oversee everything from administrative duties to staff management while championing an engaging and inclusive curriculum that meets the highest standards of care and education.

We are seeking an accomplished leader who exudes warmth and cheer, who is able to foster a positive atmosphere and create a welcoming space for children, parents and staff alike. Your ability to inspire and guide our team will be key to making our centre a place where education and joy go hand in hand.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for -

Admissions management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families interested in enrolling their children in the preschool and/or daycare
  • Provide detailed information about the centre’s programs, curriculum, philosophy, and facilities and after school activities
  • Schedule and provide tours of the facility, highlighting the centre’s exceptional infrastructure, facilities, environment, staff, and educational offerings
  • Provide information regarding the fee structures, offers, additional fees/ charges etc
  • Schedule calls with potential leads to set up meetings, conduct regular follow-ups to ensure maximum conversion to enrolment
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, addressing any questions or concerns from prospective and current families.
  • Guide parents through the enrolment process, including application forms, required documentation, indemnities and financial agreements
  • Ensure all enrolment paperwork is completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner

Parental Communication

  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with parents in relation to updates regarding their child as necessary
  • Notify parents about activities and events at the centre and provide updates about specific requirements pertaining to the events
  • Notify parents about incidents, both major and minor
  • Address parental concerns or requests as per centre policy/ rules
  • Interacting with parents on a regular basis to build a relationship based on trust and respect

Leadership and Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the centre, ensuring smooth functioning as per schedule and directives
  • Supervise, guide and evaluate staff on their respective duties, whilst ensuring their growth and welfare
  • Implement, and enforce policies and procedures that align with the preschool’s vision, mission, philosophy and policies
  • Oversee the procurement and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and facilities.

Academic Management

  • Oversee the implementation of the curriculum that meets the educational needs of all children
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and to ensure adjustments as needed
  • Provide support and resources for teachers to maximize learning quality
  • Lead the effort in planning special events, field trips, visits to ensure varied and meaningful learning experiences for children

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of prospective and enrolled admissions
  • Prepare and submit reports on enrolment data, trends, conversion rates and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents and activities at the centre and report as per procedure
  • Collaborate with back end team to resolve any infrastructural, facility- or resource-related issues.

Safety and Quality Assurance

  • Monitor the centre to ensure a clean, hygiene and safe environment for the children
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Address and resolve any concerns or issues related to child care promptly, sensitively and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Implement improvements and innovations to enhance the centre’s offerings and operations.

Crisis Management

  • Implement emergency response plans, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for various scenarios.
  • Address conflicts among staff, parents, and children, mediating effectively to resolve issues.

Professional Development

  • Stay updated on the current trends in early childhood care and education by regularly attending, workshops, trainings and seminars
  • Identify and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

Other

  • Any other responsibilities that may be necessary to ensure smooth operations and growth of the centre

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Early Childhood Education or Child Psychology. Additional qualifications in Educational Leadership, or a related field are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including experience in a leadership or managerial role
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, time-managementand organizational skills.
  • Creative problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, non-teaching staff, parents and program partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
