Finance Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll for employees, including salary calculations, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and allowances.
• Maintain and update payroll records for all employees, including new hires, terminations, salary revisions, and any other changes.
• Process and file monthly/quarterly/yearly statutory returns, including the Payment of Wages Act, Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Gratuity, Professional Tax (PT), and Income Tax (TDS).and ensure timely payments.
• Ensure the accurate processing of tax declarations, reimbursements, and exemptions such as HRA, LTA, medical reimbursements, etc.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts, including salary payable, PF contributions, ESI contributions, taxes and other deductions.
• Act as the first point of contact for employees in addressing any issues related to salary discrepancies, arrears, and adjustments in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing and distributing Form 16 to employees at year-end.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on statutory compliance in India.
• Solid understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, Gratuity, PT, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Prior experience with payroll software (e.g., SAP, Zoho Payroll, GreytHR, ADP, etc.) is highly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll compliance and tax laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in payroll.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions )
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
