Estimator ( Civil & Electrical)

Role & responsibilities

• Work out a bill of quantities from the given design as per CPWD, PWD, MES.
• Arrive at the cost estimate for the defined work.
• Evaluate contractor cost proposals.
• Evaluate cost estimate for additional work and contractor claim.
• Review work progress and arrive at a cost for completed work.
• Evaluate cost impacts of contractor & recovery schedules.
• Track project cost to contract closeout.
• Perform relevant tasks as requested.
• Quantity estimation of various trades of projects.
• Responsible for cost estimate & rate analysis for the entire project.
• Preparation of BOQ as per the Quantity take off.
• Must have understanding of estimation & pricing of building materials as per design & drawing.
• Study of Tender Documents, prepare Tender Synopsis & Responsibility Matrix.
• Identification and discussion with pre-bid Consultants.
• Floating enquiries, collecting quotations, negotiations and prepare comparison statement.
• Prepare Costing (Direct & Indirect) in accordance with tender requirements.
• Documentation for tender submission.
• Preparation of Post-bid Cost Estimate (Budgetary Estimate).
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
• Preparation of price comparison reports.
• Maintaining the estimating cost database to ensure costs are up to date.

Preferred candidate profile

• Retired or Experience estimator/engineer from CPWD, PWD, MES, other govt. organization or any other industries.
• Qualified B. Tech Civil /Electrical Full Time Regular Course (Minimum 05 year Exp)
• Qualified Diploma Civil/ Electrical Full Time Regular Course. (Minimum 10 year Exp)
• Candidate should have knowledge to prepare estimation of commercial buildings, residential buildings, STP, road, bridge related to engineering services.
• The ability to understand drawings and other contract documents.
• Organizational skills & Conflict management.
• Experience on-site and Hindi knowledge are preferred.
• Complete understanding of Site & Execution
• Should possess good communication skills in English, Hindi.
• Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Should have basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Dealing with the clients and resolving the issues which come across.
• Candidates should have a good understanding of architectural plans, sections and elevations, Structural Design for Item Calculation purpose.
• Handle Estimating Software, Project Managements software will be added value.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel and other software for cost estimation.
