Define and maintain the Group Architecture Tooling Strategy and Target State in collaboration with stakeholders within Group Architecture and other Line Functions.
Maintain technology and industry lookahead.
Develop MVPs for new technologies within the GA Platform.
Provide technology expertise to internal stakeholders. Be the architect driving the GA Platform forward.
Should have designed and implemented complex On prem, Cloud and Hybrid solutions. Should know the architecture patterns for implementing specifics within these solutions.
Understand the impact to the strategy around the number of governance forums and decisions therein (including the Technical Architecture Council)

Your key responsibilities:
Understand and help define the Product and Technology aspects for GA Platform and Tools Architecture strategy through engaging with the business divisions to understand their requirements, disseminate best practice and support delivery
Understand and contribute to DB-wide best practices through bringing back lessons learned and apply them in engineering activities within the group.
Work with the engineering team to design and develop core services and features within various products and applications that the GA Platform owns.
Providing guidance, assisting development, and working with infrastructure partners and specialists to ensure positive delivery outcomes
Your skills and experience:
Previous experience in a thought leadership role defining, operating and driving out architecture strategy.
Knowledge and experience of Event-driven architectures, Service orientation and containerization concepts, enterprise technology and cloud platforms, and software development best practices with previous development experience a must and current development skills a key differentiator
Well-developed business and requirements analysis skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (speaking and listening) and stakeholder management (all levels up to managing director)
Ability to manage often competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery
Knowledge of the banking domain and associated end-to-end workflow and processes
