Job Description

As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing sales and commercial activities related to automotive test analysis software products, embedded tools, projects, and services. Your focus will be on automotive data validation and testing, where you will manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to post-sales support, including coaching, delivery, and training. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to travel for face-to-face client interactions.

Location:
Pune, India (Willingness to Travel is Required)

Experience: 2 - 6 years

Education:
  • UG or PG in B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Automobile / Mechanical / Electronics with a minimum of 65%.
  • An MBA is an added advantage.
  • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in Sales Management is desirable.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation:
  • Leverage social media, cold calling, email, events, etc., to identify potential leads.
  • Continuously build a robust pipeline of prospective accounts and contacts.
  • Tap into existing client networks for referrals to find new leads.
  • Uncover decision-makers and key influencers in prospective accounts.
  • Research accounts to understand their needs and pain points.

2. Initiating Contact:
  • Draft customized emails and cold call scripts to introduce the company.
  • Make a great first impression and develop rapport with prospective clients.
  • Ask insightful questions to understand their challenges and requirements.
  • Qualify prospects by assessing need, budget, and decision-making process.
  • Propose next steps and request meetings to progress opportunities.

3. Conducting Presentations Demos:
  • Prepare tailored presentations and sales proposals for client meetings.
  • Travel to client locations to make formal sales presentations and product demos.
  • Handle all client questions and objections confidently and patiently.
  • Read body language and listen carefully to align with client needs.

4. Negotiation Closing:
  • Address client concerns and negotiate on pricing or contract terms.
  • Highlight product USPs, ROI, and value proposition for the client.
  • Ask for the business and close sales in a professional manner.
  • Finalize and execute contracts, agreements, and payment schedules.

5. Account Management:
  • Proactively retain and expand existing accounts by nurturing client relationships.
  • Reduce client churn by ensuring complete satisfaction with solutions.
  • Prepare and make compelling presentations to showcase new products and features.
  • Handle renewals, upsells, and additional purchases from clients.

6. Sales Planning Reporting:
  • Consistently update CRM with all prospect and client interactions.
  • Leverage CRM insights to analyze sales pipeline and activities.
  • Track and monitor key sales metrics like lead conversion rates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
  • Continuously improve sales processes based on data.

7. Partnership Management:
  • Collaborate with Marketing to generate more qualified leads.
  • Work closely with Client Service teams for successful client onboarding.
  • Partner with the Product team to improve features based on client feedback.
  • Build relationships across departments to deliver a seamless experience.

Required Skills:
  • Strong technical understanding, ideally in automotive testing software or hardware.
  • Proficiency in sales, finance, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active listening and questioning skills for needs assessment.
  • Knowledge of OEM/Tier 1 automotive testing and development processes.
  • Proactive mindset and entrepreneurial attitude to foster win-win cooperation with customers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Structured, analytical approach to work with self-driven creativity.
  • Willingness to travel for face-to-face communication.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and understanding of software development products.
  • Adherence to organization-defined processes and operations.
  • Willingness to work in a startup environment and enthusiasm for the companys product and vision.
  • Experience with Automotive Testing software, embedded tools, or embedded SW and ECU development projects.
  • Knowledge of Automotive Electronics, E/E Architecture, Communication Protocols, Automotive Networks (CAN/LIN/ETHERNET), and standards (UDS, AUTOSAR, CCP XCP).
