IPM Specialist

Job Summary To provide IP related inputs to the delivery teams during strategy/product development and launch, ensure IP asset creation in the process within regulatory and IP framework with the objective of :  Developing Formulation with an IP advantage Roles & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible to perform searches in various databases, short-list relevant patents/applications and prepare patent landscapes.
• You will perform Freedom to operate analysis
• You will be responsible to Design IP compliant API/formulation development strategies and Perform patentability evaluation and drafting patent applications
• You will help to provide technical support in prosecution of applications
• You will prepare response to office action & handle prosecution
• You will coordinate with R&D, other CFTs, external examiners in prosecuting patent applications and help in building patent portfolio
• You will be responsible to support the product selection & ideation activity
• You will prepare invalidation grounds for patents/applications
• You will provide technical support to legal teams during litigation/patent oppositions
• You will help to provide strategic IP inputs to R&D, BD & portfolio team, and identify leverage opportunities for value maximization.

Educational qualification: M Pharm./Ph.D in Pharma Minimum work experience:

• 8 - 12 years of experience in Intellectual Property, including candidate from Law firms who have worked in Life Science & Health care sector would be preferable.
• Qualified Indian Patent Agent and/or PG Diploma in patents law would be preferred.
• Any prior Formulation R&D experience would be a good to have add-on credential.

Skills & attributes: Technical Skills • Strong API/Formulation and IP knowledge • Preliminary understanding of legal/IP framework for various Developed and Emerging markets • Patent filings & Prosecutions knowledge • Infringement/ Patent validity analysis
