SAP Finance Control Consultant (6-7 yrs)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Control Consultant with a strong background in financial accounting, controlling, and SAP modules.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-cycle SAP implementations, as well as support projects, with expertise in SAP FI/CO modules, and integration with other SAP modules like MM, HR, PP, and PM.

The consultant will play a key role in optimizing financial processes, improving business efficiency, and driving results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Financial Module Implementation & Support:

- Lead and support full-cycle SAP implementations for clients, focusing on General Ledger (GL) and various SAP finance modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Management Accounting (CO), Fixed Asset Accounting (AA), Intercompany Accounting, and Project System (PS).

- Configure, test, and implement SAP FI/CO modules in accordance with business requirements and best practices.

- Provide post-implementation support by troubleshooting issues and assisting clients in resolving SAP- related financial and accounting challenges.

Financial Accounting Process Optimization:

- Understand client accounting business processes, and provide expert advice on improving the flow of financial data within SAP.

- Work closely with business users to configure and streamline accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (local and international).

- Implement best practices and optimize financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and general ledger reconciliations.

Integration & Coordination:

- Collaborate with functional teams to ensure smooth integration of SAP FI/CO modules with other SAP modules like MM (Materials Management), HR (Human Resources), PP (Production Planning), and PM (Plant Maintenance).

- Address integration points, ensuring accurate data flow and reducing system errors related to cross-functional modules.

- Ensure data consistency across various SAP modules and coordinate activities with technical teams for seamless system integrations.

Project System & Controlling (CO) Module Support:

- Implement and configure the Project System (PS) module to manage projects efficiently, ensuring project profitability and cost control.

- Configure Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis, and Costing for detailed reporting and financial control.

- Support Controlling (CO) processes such as cost allocation, cost planning, and budgeting in alignment with corporate goals.

Multinational Financial Management:

- Handle complex multi-currency transactions and intercompany accounting to support international financial processes.

- Assist clients in meeting regulatory and reporting requirements across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with local laws, including tax compliance and VAT handling.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Provide support for financial reporting within SAP, ensuring that financial reports are accurate and in compliance with local regulations and global standards.

- Generate ad-hoc reports, conduct data analysis, and help with the preparation of financial statements and balance sheets as per the client's requirements.

- Develop and maintain system documentation for configurations, processes, and customizations made during the implementation and support phases.

Training & User Support:

- Deliver end-user training to clients on SAP finance modules, ensuring they understand how to perform day-to-day activities and navigate the system.

- Provide post-go-live support to users by offering troubleshooting assistance, resolving issues, and delivering continuous improvement recommendations.

- Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor in driving SAP finance-related business process improvements.

- 6+ years of SAP experience supporting General Ledger (FI), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Asset Accounting (AA), Management Accounting (CO), Project System (PS), and Intercompany Accounting.

- Strong knowledge of SAP financial processes and ability to implement configurations for different financial transactions, reporting, and month-end/year-end processes.

- Experience with accounting principles and the ability to apply these principles within SAP FI/CO configurations
