Hardware Test Engineer - Firmware/PCB Design (2-18 yrs)

Role: Hardware Test Engineer

Job description

- Create the test plan for the different stages of the hardware testing and execute them according to the requirement

- Design test plans and test cases to validate the products and improve the existing testing process

- Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner along with product assembly and ensuring timely delivery of Product

- Quality check of vendor-supplied material/parts

- Validate the respective component of System Architecture of IBM server.

- Develop, automate and run Hardware System tests.

- Knowledge of end-to-end of Defect Management.

- Ability to handle testing and debugging tasks independently.

- Troubleshooting and Design improvements for Customer/Field issues

- Doing and managing Device assembly, PCB Soldering, and testing

- Verification and validation of the hardware

- PCB Schematics and Layout Understanding

- Basic Firmware understanding

- Familiarity with operating digital measurement instruments like DMM, Oscilloscope.

- Familiarity with hardware testing techniques in automotive domain.

- Should take end to end responsibility for identifying suppliers , procurement and logistics for the running of the hardware lab.

- Should take end to end responsibility for maintaining safety guidelines.

- Proven experience with creating prototypes with technical team involving, electronics, electrical and mechanical domain.

- Manage mini assembly lines for post-production activities.

- Willing to travel domestic routes.

- Support drive testing of various hardware and end to end IOT products by executing test cases.

- Develop innovative product concepts and conduct detailed component research to meet project requirements.

- Create comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for products using Excel Sheets and STERP.

- Assemble and meticulously test circuits, ensuring precise readings and functionality in line with specified requirements.

- Verify PCB layouts and net lists based on provided schematics.

- Establish relationships with new vendors for necessary components, overseeing the quotation process.

- Create preliminary schematic drawings for products pre-testing, collaborating closely with PCB Designers to finalize drawings in software.

- Effectively collaborate with the production team to ensure a seamless handover of developed products for manufacturing.
