About the role
To enable DNV Energy Systems in India , Bangladesh & Sri Lanka (IBS) to achieve its strategic ambitions, we need leaders who drive business operations to meet customers expectations while also continuously improving the way we work. The organization we defined is based on two main dimensions: Customer focus around our Key Accounts and Markets, and strong Service Areas.
Energy Systems India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka is therefore seeking a senior Market Area Manager Oil & Gas .
We have big ambitions for growth in IBS within the energy sector both in oil & gas and in renewables. We are now looking for an outgoing senior business development / sales executive with an established position in the industry to drive and grown our footprint in the O&G segment in IBS.
The scope of Market Area Manager Oil & Gas is:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Going to market this is an fully outgoing and external focused role seeking opportunities in the market and using your network to bring in projects.
  • Sales and order intake overall responsible and accountable for order intake according to Annual Operational Plans and DNV strategies.
  • Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities. Create a robust pipeline and order book for various projects.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and secure new accounts.
  • Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key clients, including Public Sector company clients, service providers, and industry partners. Main focus on key players in India and the international players with market in India. Strong focus on large projects and hunting lead for key major oil and gas project in India. Take role as Key Account Manager for significant customers and key industry players in IBS.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients.
  • Proposal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals to secure new projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business development leaders, ensuring they meet performance targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and manage the performance of the business development team and ensure timely achievement of business goals.
You will be an important member of the management team for ES IBS and report directly to Director of Energy Systems in India.

About you
  • Existing strong recognition and position in the Oil and Gas industry in India.
  • Educational qualification Bachelor in Engineering . A Masters in Business administration will be an added advantage
  • Outgoing and extrovert attitude.
  • Want to win and hunting approach.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Proven leadership skills to drive business development and sales.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness, good understanding of the market drivers and challenges (market foresight), and proven business development ability within this sector.

  • Communicates effectively, is pragmatic, builds strong relationships and can influence.
  • Holds strong leadership skills and ability to engage, develop and motivate team members.
  • Ability to create trust through robust delivery and strong relationship building.
  • Have the ability to respect and understand cultural diversity and be able to communicate and relate to a number of personnel at different levels.
  • Demonstrates leadership foresight know what is happening in the market, how will it impact us and what do we do to adapt to it.
