Trainee - Product Development

Role & responsibilities

A) Study Customer Websites and Design Offerings

• Task: Research customer websites to understand their design preferences and trends.
• Output: Create downloadable design offerings inspired by the ideas and themes identified from customer research.

B) Aesthetic Checking of Sample Pieces

• Task: Review sample pieces aesthetically when they come from production. Identify and document any flaws or areas for improvement.
• Output: Detailed feedback and quality reports on sample pieces to ensure they meet aesthetic standards.

C) Improve the Conversion Rate of Produced Designs

• Task: Analyze the designs produced to increase the conversion rate, ensuring that more designs make it to the final production stage.
• Output: Strategies and insights aimed at enhancing design appeal and production success rates.

D) Market Trend Research

• Task: Conduct research on the latest trends in the market to generate new ideas and stay ahead in the industry.
• Output: Trend reports and ideation sessions to inspire innovative designs and keep the companys offerings competitive.

E) Supervise Manual and EDP Teams

• Task: Oversee the work of the Manual and Electronic Data Processing (EDP) teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
• Output: Regular progress reports and performance evaluations of team activities.

F) Prepare Thematic PowerPoint Presentations

• Task: Develop creative PowerPoint presentations based on themes provided by customers, including both current and pipeline projects.
• Output: High-quality, themed presentations that showcase design concepts aligned with customer expectations.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate from IIGJ with 0-2 years experience in product development department of a jewellery manufacturing company involved in exports
