Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP) with 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring high availability, security, and performance. The role requires expertise in automation, CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities

• GCP Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD to ensure seamless deployments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (GKE) and Docker-based workloads for high availability.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring & Logging) for proactive incident management.
• Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for IAM, VPC security, firewall rules, and data encryption, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Incident & Performance Management: Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues, optimize system performance, and participate in on-call rotations when required.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of new features and infrastructure improvements.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain detailed documentation and continuously improve DevOps workflows and automation strategies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering with a strong focus on GCP.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), VPC networking, IAM, and Cloud SQL/BigQuery.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• CI/CD & Automation: Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.
• Containerization & Kubernetes: Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) for containerized workloads.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automating DevOps tasks.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for system monitoring and logging.
• Security & Compliance: Understanding of GCP security best practices, including IAM, firewall configurations, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
• Version Control: Expertise with Git and GitOps workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
• Microservices & Cloud-Native Architecture: Experience with microservices deployment, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), and serverless computing.
• Database & Storage: Experience managing SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Firestore, Bigtable, MongoDB) databases in cloud environments.
• Agile & DevOps Practices: Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and DevSecOps principles.
