Senior Manager/ Manager Utility

Role & responsibilities

• Coordinating with dairy production team for day to day cheese manufacturing and powder plant operations and ensure to fulfill the utility requirements (i.e. electricity, water, compressed air, steam, chilled water etc.) of the plant as per the production schedule.
• Time to time guiding the utility team for operating the utility plants and equipments to get the optimum efficiencies. Main equipments are Ammonia Refrigeration, 6 TPH IBR Coal fire boilers, 500 KLD ETP with 300 KLD RO Plant, DG Sets, HT Transformers with SD 1500 KVA & connected load of 2500 kw etc. Daily monitoring and controlling the energy consumptions of utilities like water, coal, electrical, HSD and checking and correcting any abnormalities.
• Preparing the maintenance schedule, carrying out the maintenance work as per schedule with the help of maintenance team or external contracors wherever required and maintaining the records..
• To guide the team to coordinating with the external agencies for annual maintenance contract, preparing the schedule, ensure to get the work done accordingly.
• To work towerds improving plant and equipment efficiency using available resources, finding the new solutions with latest technology. Finding out the sources for energy conservation by carrying out preventive maintenance, operate the utility plant and equipments to getting maximum efficiency, monitoring for getting maximum condensate recovery, etc.
• Coordinating with production department for plannning the required shutdowns to get the regular maintenance / breakdown maintenance of the plant equipments and carrying out the work accordingly. Trouble shooting of problems using why-why analysis, conducting route cause analysis, preparing CAPA and getting the work done accordingly.
• Steering vendor development, getting quotes from them for required equipments, preparing technocommercial QCS, negotiating with vendors, preparing CAPEX and presenting to management for approval.
• Coordinating with different agencies like equipment supplier, civil and fabrication teams etc. to complete the new equipments installation at site.
• Commissioning of the equipments along with the supplier as per the agreed terms & conditions and up to the satisfaction of the user department Arranging the authorised testing lab for environmental related testing like ambient air, noise, exhaust flue gases, ETP discharge water as per the statutory requirements of factory inspector and MPCB and maintaining the necessary records.
• Carrying out the external party testing as per factory inspector's requirement for pressure vessels, lifting tools and tackles, lifts etc and maintaining the records.
• Coordinating with govt. authorities like MSEDCL, Electrical Inspector, DG Inspector, Factory Inspector, Weights & Measures inspector etc. for getting approvals of new project, annual inspections / verifications and any other statutory requirements.
• To prepare the monthly MIS data and to present it to the senior management, discussing for getting better outputs from the systems, new modification required etc.
