Costing & Estimation Engineer Signalling

Job Description:

The Costing & Estimation Engineer Signalling will be responsible for Quantity Take-off, Estimation, and Costing of Signalling Works for Railway, Metro, and High-Speed Rail projects. The role requires expertise in ETCS (European Train Control System) and subsystems such as:

• Automatic Train Control (ATC)
• Automatic Train Supervision (ATS)
• Interlocking (IXL)
• Balise
• Point Machines
• All types of Signals
• Power SCADA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct quantity take-offs, estimation, and costing for railway signalling projects.

2. Prepare and review cost estimates, BOQ, and pricing for bids and proposals.

3. Work closely with clients, consultants, and vendors for project costing and technical discussions.

4. Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings to derive accurate cost estimates.

5. Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.

6. Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.

7. Support in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) requirements related to cost estimation.

8. Provide input on risk assessment and value engineering for cost optimization.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

1.Experience in Railway/Metro/High-Speed Rail projects with a focus on signalling systems.

2.Proficiency in cost estimation software, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.

3.Ability to interpret design drawings, technical documents, and project specifications.

Experience: 3-10 years (Candidates with over 5 years of experience should have knowledge of Signalling System Design)

Qualification: BE/B-Tech in Electrical / Electronics & Communication Engineering
