Experience in more than one of the functional workstream (FICO, SD, SF, EWM, TM, BW, Websphere) or over-all solution architect
Worked on implementation RFP s as a solution architect responsible for crafting solutions end to end
A solid grasp of SAP and integration with other applications/systems in an IT landscape
Understanding of software development lifecycle with experiences of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
Role Responsibilities:
SAP solution design - participate in projects and changes to drive the end-to-end solution design for capabilities involving SAP.
Design authority - run the design authority process for SAP, working with internal teams and partners to ensure that all proposed changes adhere to Diageo standards and the target architecture
Standards - define and govern any SAP-related technical standards
Ensure compliance to design process and sign-off
Assessment of new features on roadmap - proactively evaluate the relevance and benefit of new product features for Diageo, establishing POCs and/or projects where appropriate.
Clean core Strategy- drive the clean core strategy for Diageo, working with COE teams and Value Streams as required.
Upgrade strategy - responsible for determining how and when to upgrade to new releases, working closing with business stakeholders and COE teams in planning and implementation.
Tooling - responsible for decision on all tools uniquely required to support the SAP ecosystem.
SAP integration strategy - responsible for determining the overall integration strategy and approach for SAP, maximizing reusability and maintaining a clean-core.
Legacy consolidation - working closely with value stream leaders and COE teams, drives the replacement roadmap for legacy SAP capabilities
Innovation - Create the AI/GenAI strategy for SAP and finance applications work in collaboration with SAP
Create the roadmap for using SAP for the Financial legacy & planning Applications
Drive discissions, as needed, to get to well thought through, cohesive design that is aligned across the Functional Teams
Probe the design / solution as required, to ensure that all aspects have been considered - bringing experience to bear.
Manage muti-wave impacts on design, looking to ensure that future designs are understood and accommodated where possible.
Ensure that SAP standard is the default unless there is a competitive advantage / legal / statutory / regulatory or tax reason for it not to be.
Experience / skills required:
Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP architecture / design / implementation roles.
Proven track record of leading large-scale SAP projects in a global organization.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in multiple SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD).
Strong understanding of integration points between different systems (SAP / non-SAP).
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Able to translate complex topics into simple messages.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional and globally dispersed teams.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Strategic thinking - able to deal with ambiguity and to assimilate data from a variety of sources to define a strategic roadmap.
