Quality Control Head

1. Financial Advise on annual quality objectives including ISO 9001 FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, IMS and all food safety, food defense and quality programs Assist the Plant Heads in justification for personnel and for equipment requests during annual budget proposals; oversee department expenditures in accordance with budget allocations Conduct cost-benefit analysis for each of the quality management systems mentioned in the QA plan and modify the same accordingly, if required 2. Customer Monitor key quality indicators and communicate the same to senior management team, follow up with other departments and ensure effective implementation of CAPA to ensure that key quality indicators are tracked effectively Determine disposition, root cause and corrective actions in case of the nonconforming sugar quality or other customer issues in order to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize recurring quality problems Liaise with sugarcane suppliers to manage sugarcane supplier systems, audits, and develop continual improvement plan and effective communication to ensure food safety and quality systems are maintained and up to date Provide technical and professional assistance to Plant Operations, Sales, Customer Service and order Coordination in order to support the establishment of robust quality frameworks keeping in mind the safety, sales and production goals Work with RD to ensure that sugarcane quality specifications exist and are current and enforced, to drive continuous improvement Take periodic buyer feedback and make improvements to adjust the quality systems based on the feedback 3. Operations Monitor and approve products, suppliers, investigating quality discrepancies in the imported sugarcane as required in order to ensure that only sugarcane that meets company, customer and regulatory specifications are received Maintain up to date institutional buyer requirement records and review and approve new or revised buyer sugar quality specifications to support the subsequent supply in line with quality standards and specifications Conduct periodic quality audits at cane crushing sites, sugar mills and ensure effective, and take appropriate proactive actions to eliminate re occurrence of non-compliance Manage SAP reports including COA- s, COC- S to review testing result trends, and maintenance and QC records for content and completeness Ensure all plant sample testing sites are audit and inspection ready Ensure initiation of new quality manufacturing standards in the organization using modern techniques like Lean, Six Sigma, etc Approve new sugar samples before commercialization and ensure thorough food safety risk assessment, QC capabilities before supply Keep abreast with upcoming and latest quality standards prevalent in the industry 4. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
