The Finishing Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising all finishing activities on construction sites, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality, within budget, and on schedule. This role involves coordinating with various subcontractors, ensuring adherence to design specifications, and addressing any issues that arise during the finishing stages of the project.
Job Description:
Site Supervision: Oversee and manage all finishing activities on site, including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, false ceilings, and installation of fixtures.
Quality Control: Ensure that all finishing work is performed to the highest quality standards, meeting design specifications and client expectations.
Coordination: Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate finishing activities and ensure they align with the overall project schedule.
Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, check the quality of work, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or defects that arise during the finishing process, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Material Management: Ensure the availability and proper use of materials for finishing works, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams as needed.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports, including updates on work completion, quality, and any issues encountered.
Client Interaction: Liaise with clients and architects to ensure their requirements are met and to address any concerns or changes in the finishing specifications.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all finishing activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: 5 years of experience in finishing works, with a strong background in construction projects, particularly in the final stages of construction.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and standards; proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings; familiarity with relevant construction software.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work we'll under pressure
