The Site Engineer is responsible for executing and overseeing construction work on-site according to the Project Manager s instructions and project plans. Execution of Work:
Implement construction plans as directed by the Project Manager.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, and standards.
Coordination and Supervision:
Supervise site activities, including the work of laborers, tradesmen, and subcontractors.
Coordinate the daily allocation of work and resources, ensuring optimal productivity.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of work and materials, ensuring compliance with the specified standards.
Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Project Manager and take corrective actions as necessary.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.
Ensure all site activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Resource Management:
Manage the delivery and storage of construction materials and equipment on-site.
Track and record material usage, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, including work progress, labor, and materials.
Prepare and submit reports on-site progress and any issues encountered.
Problem Solving:
Address any on-site challenges or issues promptly, in coordination with the Project Manager.
Provide practical solutions to ensure project continuity and minimize delays.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, team members, and subcontractors.
Keep all stakeholders informed of work progress, issues, and any necessary changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction.
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
