Job Description
The Site Engineer is responsible for executing and overseeing construction work on-site according to the Project Manager s instructions and project plans. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, coordinating with workers and subcontractors, and ensuring that construction progresses according to schedule, budget, and quality standards
Job Description:
- Execution of Work:Implement construction plans as directed by the Project Manager.Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, and standards.
- Coordination and Supervision:
Supervise site activities, including the work of laborers, tradesmen, and subcontractors.Coordinate the daily allocation of work and resources, ensuring optimal productivity.- Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of work and materials, ensuring compliance with the specified standards.Report any discrepancies or quality issues to the Project Manager and take corrective actions as necessary.- Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.Ensure all site activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.- Resource Management:
Manage the delivery and storage of construction materials and equipment on-site.Track and record material usage, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.- Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, including work progress, labor, and materials.Prepare and submit reports on-site progress and any issues encountered.- Problem Solving:
Address any on-site challenges or issues promptly, in coordination with the Project Manager.Provide practical solutions to ensure project continuity and minimize delays.- Communication:
Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, team members, and subcontractors.Keep all stakeholders informed of work progress, issues, and any necessary changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in construction.
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
