Job Description: L3 - Storage Administrator

Location: Onsite at Client, BKC Mumbai (Preferably Navi Mumbai)
Shift: Rotational Shifts (24/7 based on team's roster)
Position Overview:
The Storage Administrator will be responsible for end-to-end management of storage infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations, high availability, and quality maintenance for the client in Mumbai. This includes troubleshooting, monitoring, vendor coordination, and contributing to the optimization of storage performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Implementation and Administration:

• Expertise in implementing and administering NetApp Cluster Mode filers and providing tailored solutions.
• Proficiency in managing Brocade and Cisco SAN switches for SAN connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of FC (Fibre Channel) and IP-based storage replications.

2. Day-to-Day Operations:

• Handle L1, L2, and L3 level operations for storage devices with a focus on L3-level expertise.
• Conduct monitoring, health checks, and vendor management.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure effective production maintenance with a quality-oriented approach.
• Address duplicate incidents, participate in ticket remediation, and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform storage capacity and performance scale-out management.

3. Incident and Problem Management:

• Take ownership of incidents, changes, and problems, ensuring their resolution.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and third-party vendors for break-fix scenarios.
• Lead critical outage calls and provide expertise during high-pressure situations.

4. Reporting and Communication:

• Generate storage reports and participate in weekly/monthly customer meetings.
• Communicate effectively in English, collaborating with other infrastructure support teams.
• Maintain high-quality conversations and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

5. Performance Optimization:

• Tune parameters to fix storage performance issues.
• Identify and address opportunities for operational efficiency.

6. On-call Support:

• Be available for rotational on-call support as per the teams roster.

Required Technical Skill Set:

• Strong expertise (L3 level) in storage technologies, including:
• NetApp Cluster Mode (mandatory)
• EMC PowerMax (optional)
• Solid understanding of SAN networking using Brocade and Cisco MDS SAN switches.

Primary Skills:

• Hands-on experience in storage operations and troubleshooting.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability in handling incidents and operations.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
