Cloud Architect (12-15 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Cloud Architect to join our growing team.

As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the company's cloud strategy.

You will play a critical role in guiding the adoption of cloud technologies across the organization and ensuring the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement the overall cloud strategy for the organization, aligning with business goals and objectives.

- Define and implement cloud architecture principles, standards, and best practices.

- Design and implement cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure, platforms, and applications.

- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and technologies (e.g, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based systems.

- Lead the migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud.

- Develop and execute cloud migration plans and strategies.

- Manage and mitigate risks associated with cloud migration.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of cloud environments.

- Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize costs.

- Implement and maintain cloud security controls and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.

- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and developers.

- Guide and support the team in the design, development, and implementation of cloud solutions.

- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.

- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.

- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Present architectural designs and roadmaps to senior management.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in IT, with at least 5-7 years of experience in cloud architecture roles.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.

- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of cloud engineers and developers.

- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g, Python, Terraform, Ansible), containerization (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

- Deep understanding of cloud security principles and practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus
