AFC Data Hub India Lead

Your key responsibilities

What Youll Do

• Maintaining the divisional view of system data requirements, data lineage, reflecting deltas from the metadata sources, and executing the certification process with Data Stewards using tools such as Collibra, Waltz and Solidatus
• Run quantitative and qualitative analyses on inputs to AFC Data Capabilities (e.g., Transaction Monitoring, Screening etc.); Document controls over input data, identify issue and propose mitigation actions; Support ongoing model performance monitoring and potential remediation actions
• Demonstrable ability to utilise tools for building and running queries across large datasets using tools (Pentaho, Hue, or SQL) is a plus; Practical coding experience in Python is also a plus
• Strong analytical mindset and motivated to work in data management; Ability to articulate issues in a structured manner, and undertake root cause analysis of problem areas
• Willing to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision; Successful stakeholder management with excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical business colleagues
• Experience in interpreting regulatory guidelines would be an advantage

How Youll Lead

Detail up to 3 key stakeholders and relationships the role will interact with, including breadth of leadership accountabilities.

• Senior Management Must be able to succinctly communicate with senior management explaining the modelling concepts
• Clients Must be able to understand financial crime risks associated with clients and various products/services offered by the bank
• Data Profiling Leading the strategic data profiling roadmap with special focus on understanding the client, account, and transaction data sourced for AFC

Your skills and experience

Skills Youll Need

• Educated to University degree or equivalent qualification/work experience
• Strong motivation to become an expert regarding prevention of financial crime
• Proven experience in understanding AcH, CHIP, FedWire, and SWIFT transactions
• Robust knowledge on big data and related toolset (python and related libraries, including distributed data base)

• Understanding of operational risk framework (measurement of inherent and residual risk) is a plus
• Willingness to take on responsibility and work independently
