Job Description

  • The Global Learning team is a key part of the HR Talent & Development function and focusses on providing learning to all employees across the globe.
  • The team is responsible for providing high quality learning platforms and content and use their learning expertise to provide bespoke support for critical skills that will enable employees to build fulfilling careers.
  • Acting as the Centre of Excellence we manage a digital learning offering which is comprised of virtual classrooms and digital learning libraries. We also provide learning consultancy to the business on how to optimise the existing offering and leverage digital channels for learning.
  • Often experimenting with innovative initiatives that bring learning and technology together, the team manage a broad range of projects that contribute to the learning culture at Deutsche Bank.Some examples have included a Mystery Coffee initiative, the implementation of a Learning Experience Platform, and identifying a Credentialed learning solution to be Implemented in 2024/25.

    Your key responsibilities

    • You will be working with HR and business leads to identify the current skills of the employees and identify gaps that need to be filled to meet organizational goals. You will Develop and design training programs that address identified skill gaps and enhance employee capabilities and you will also help execute training programs using various delivery methods, in particular digital learning and virtual learnings.
    • In this role you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the global learning offering. You will draw upon your learning experience to design new products where gaps exist in the offering, and where required will manage preferred suppliers to also design and deliver high quality learning solutions.
    • You will leverage data and insights from business stakeholders and employees to help inform your decision making about where we can create the most impact.
    • As part of a digital first learning team, you will be required to build your knowledge of our learning technologies so you can provide expert guidance to a range of stakeholders. You will also offer broader learning consultancy support and advice to business colleagues so your ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships will be important.
    • Drawing upon your previous experience of managing complex and high-profile programs (ideally across geographies/cultures) you will also lead your own mixed portfolio of agile projects. Your areas of responsibility are likely to be interesting and varied and could include the releasing a new platform, learning curation, marketing campaigns, governance, onboarding vendors, reporting/evaluating impact.
    • You will contribute to increasing learning adoption by understanding our stakeholder needs and using this feedback to continuously improve. These insights will help inform our ongoing communications calendar where you will also regularly contribute to the active promotion of learning opportunities.

    Your skills and experience

    • Minimum of 10 -12 years in learning and development role
    • Proven experience of leading projects and complex learning programmes
    • Experience of managing third party vendors to deliver engaging, culturally aligned and inclusive content.
    • Experience of working with learning technologies and using digital as a learning channel

    Key skills

    • Communication Should be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholder, build communication plans, effectively communicate with the onshore stakeholders.
    • Interpersonal skills Should be able to build and nurture the stakeholder relationship.
    • Presentation Facilitation skills Should have facilitated sessions and is comfortable in making presentation in an impromptu situation.
    • Senior stakeholder management Should have worked with Sr. stakeholders by asking relevant questions and is able to understand their viewpoint.
    • Project management agile Should have handled learning intervention projects independently.
    • Instructional design Should have an understanding for the ID methodologies and the authoring tools.
    • Complex problem solving Should be able to understand the problems and is able to ideate to solve the problems.
    • Ownership of strategic projects Should be able to independently own the strategic projects with no to very less supervisions.
    • Procurement Must have an understanding of the procurement process with respect to learning vendors or the solution providers.
    • Coaching leadership Should understand the coaching concepts and has worked on leadership development journeys.
    • Influence Should have an inclination to influence by providing desired justification to the inputs.
    • Risk management Should be able to understand the risk that may occur in the pre, during and the post any engagement.
    • Microsoft Office Should be hands on with MS office tools.
