Job Title: Server and desktop Support engineer L2

Location: Jamnagar

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Desktop and Server Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service orientation to provide effective support for our desktop and server infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of desktop and server operating systems, hardware, and networking technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing and resolving network connectivity problems, and installing and configuring operating systems and applications.
2. Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers.
3. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot server-related issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and ensure high availability.
4. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies and best practices.
5. Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
6. Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to implement technology initiatives and support business objectives.
7. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an accurate knowledge base and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
8. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 1 years of experience in desktop support, hardware maintenance,and server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with hardware server technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
