Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage the maintenance operations at our Frozen Food Plant in Ambala, Haryana. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment, including boilers, refrigeration systems, and other critical plant utilities. This role requires expertise in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, particularly in the context of food production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all plant machinery, including boilers, refrigeration, packaging, and processing equipment used in the frozen food production process.
• Boiler Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning, inspection, and maintenance of boilers and associated systems, including performing regular safety checks, managing combustion controls, and complying with safety regulations.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve any mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration issues, including boiler malfunctions, to minimize production downtime.
• Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure effective maintenance practices.
• Preventive Maintenance Program: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all plant equipment, including boilers, to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient production.
• Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items, including boiler components, are available for timely repairs and maintenance.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, including boiler spares, and minimizing unnecessary expenditures.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially regarding the operation and safety of boilers. Maintain documentation related to safety procedures and inspections.
• Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance of the plant infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, and other essential plant utilities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, and other departments to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations during maintenance activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes, machinery efficiency, and plant operations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in maintenance management and boiler operation are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in plant maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in a food processing or frozen food manufacturing environment. Specific experience with boiler maintenance and operation is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems. Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and combustion controls is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose issues, troubleshoot equipment failures (including boilers), and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
• Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high levels of performance and efficiency.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations, boiler safety standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and relevant safety and environmental standards.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other software used for tracking maintenance activities.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills for coordinating with other departments and ensuring smooth operations.

• Location: This position is based at our Frozen Food Plant in Ambala, Haryana.
• Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Saturday.
